Stowmarket Rugby Club is pleased to announce important changes to our 2026 Black Tie Summer Ball after listening to feedback from our members, supporters and the local community.

When the event was first announced, many of you told us you loved the idea but were concerned about the cost. As a community club, we want our events to bring people together — not price people out. The Summer Ball should feel like a club night for everyone, not just a select few.

Because of that, we have taken your feedback seriously and made some changes.

New Ticket Price

We are delighted to confirm tickets are now:

£60 per person

Our aim is simple — a brilliant night that as many members, friends and supporters as possible can attend.

What Stays the Same

The most important parts of the evening are not changing.

We are still welcoming our headline guest:

Special Guest Speaker – Jim Hamilton

The former Scotland international will be joining us for a live Q&A, stories from his career and, knowing Jim, plenty of laughs along the way.

We are also pleased to confirm:

A full three-course meal

Live music from Jax & Co

A formal black-tie evening atmosphere

A full evening of entertainment and socialising

The meal will now be proudly prepared by our own club team, allowing us to keep quality high while making the event more affordable.

Venue Change

The marquee will no longer be used for this year’s event.
Instead, the Summer Ball will now take place inside the clubhouse, creating a more intimate and lively atmosphere while helping us reduce the ticket price.

This offers a unique opportunity to enjoy the evening alongside our guest speaker while still keeping the event accessible.
