After a dominant opening performance against Hadleigh at Raven Park, we were looking forward to finally bringing rugby back to Phoenix Park.

Unfortunately, we're going to have to wait just a little longer!

The changes do, however, mean we now have two home pre-season fixtures to look forward to in September as the squad continues its preparations for the 2026/27 campaign.

More Time to Build

Our opening pre-season fixture gave us plenty to be excited about, with a 75-12 victory over Hadleigh and promising performances throughout the squad.

The delayed start now gives the boys a little more time on the training field to continue working, building combinations and preparing for the competitive season ahead.

With new and returning players joining the group and plenty of young talent beginning to make its mark, there is a lot to look forward to at Phoenix Park this season.

Of course, the current conditions of grass pitches across the area continue to make planning difficult, so we'll keep everyone updated should anything need to change.

For now, get 5th and 12th September in the diary.

It's been a longer wait than we expected, but rugby will soon be back at Phoenix Park.
