Stowmarket Rugby Club is delighted to announce the first Supporters Lunch of the 2025/26 season, taking place on Saturday 13th September 2025. This special occasion will coincide with the 1st XV’s opening home league fixture against Ely — a highly anticipated clash in the Counties 1 Eastern Counties League.

This promises to be a hard-fought and physical encounter, with both teams eager to make their mark early in what is set to be a competitive season.

Welcome drinks: 12:30
Sit down lunch: 13:00
Kick off: 15:00 – Stowmarket 1st XV vs Ely

The Conversion Feast Menu
Guests will enjoy a four-course meal with wine:

Starter: The Perfect Pitch Prawn Cocktail – Succulent prawns served on crisp lettuce, topped with a classic Marie Rose sauce and a wedge of lemon.
Main: A PROPer Ploughman’s Lunch – A hearty platter of cold meats with freshly made salads including potato salad and coleslaw, served with fresh breads and pickles.
Dessert: Eton Scrum Mess – A classic mix of crushed meringue, whipped cream, and fresh strawberries for a sweet and crunchy finale with a rugby twist.
Final Course: Powerhouse Cheeseboard – A selection of fine cheeses served with crackers, chutneys, and grapes.

Tickets & Booking

£30 per person (includes a welcome drink & a 4-course meal with wine)
£300 for a table of 10 – perfect for groups of friends, families, or sponsors.

Tickets must be pre-booked by 12:00 on Monday 8th September to allow the catering team to prepare. Tickets are first come, first served.

Of course, the club bar will be open throughout the day, and supporters are warmly invited to stay on for the traditional post-match festivities, including the Man of the Match presentations.
