As the curtains draw on a challenging season, it's with mixed emotions that we bid farewell to two pivotal figures from our coaching staff. In light of recent departures and to put an end to speculation, we wish to provide clarity and express our gratitude to these individuals.

Firstly, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Fred Wenham, our Head Coach, who is embarking on a new chapter in his career at St Joseph's College following a promotion. Since joining us in December 2022, Fred has injected our team with a robust defensive strategy, showcasing his dedication and expertise. Navigating through a tumultuous season is no mean feat, and we thank Fred for his commitment to Stowmarket RUFC. We wish him every success in his new role and look forward to welcoming him back to Phoenix Park for a refreshing pint and some rugby.

Next, we bid farewell to James Ingle, our Head of Coaching and Forwards Coach, whose vibrant personality and expertise have left an indelible mark on our team. Since joining us at the season's outset, Jingles has not only honed our lineout and forward structures but also fostered a spirit of camaraderie with his trademark enthusiasm. Amidst the highs and lows of the season, his positivity and experience have been invaluable. As he embarks on a new venture in Croydon, we extend our best wishes and extend an open invitation for him to return to Phoenix Park for a reunion over beers and rugby.
